Welcome to Blessed Trinity Lay Carmelite Community!

The Lay Carmelites (TOCarm) are a Roman Catholic association of mainly lay persons. Its members, responding to a special call from God, freely and deliberately commit themselves to live in the following of Jesus Christ according to the traditions and spirit of Carmel. Our mission is to follow Jesus in love, to seek the kingdom of God, to sanctify and to transform the secular world through participation in the Carmelite charisms of contemplative prayer, community and ministry. For many centuries, Carmel has been a pre-eminent and sure road to holiness for many people, including doctors and saints of the Church, such as St Teresa of Avila, St Therese of Lisieux, St John of the Cross, St Titus Brandsma, and others.

Blessed Trinity Lay Carmelite Community began as a spirituality group at St Luke's Catholic Church in March 2009, and was founded on November 30, 2010. We are one of twelve communities in Canada East New York Region (CENY), in the Province of the Most Pure Heart of Mary (PCM). Read more about our community and Carmelite spirituality below.

Blessings,

Blessed Trinity LCC
